For the Mac, WatchMyMedia is a menu bar app with the server and everything it needs inside. It runs on macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.

The next release, still being tested. It may have rough edges; the current version above is the one to use day to day.
Install
- Open the downloaded DMG and drag WatchMyMedia to Applications.
- Open WatchMyMedia from Applications. It lives in the menu bar, not the Dock, and starts the server.
- Choose Open WatchMyMedia from its menu. Your browser opens the server, where you create your account and add your media folders.
Updates
The app offers to check for new versions by itself and installs them when you agree, and Check for Updates… in its menu looks right away. On the server, Settings → General has a Check for updates button that links to the new version.
